Last Easter, we abolished $5.1 million in debt for over 4,000 Northwest Louisiana families. This year, we're going further.
$13.4 million in medical debt is crushing families across 7 parishes in our region. No one chooses to get sick — but 1 in 3 Americans carry medical debt, and it's the leading cause of bankruptcy in the US.
We've partnered with Undue Medical Debt, where $1 donated cancels $100 in medical debt. Our goal: raise $50,000 and wipe out another $5 million for our neighbors. Qualifying families earn less than 4x the federal poverty level or carry debt exceeding 5% of their annual income.
